For guests traveling from out of town, the closest airport is Denver International Airport (DEN). Black Hawk is located approximately 50 miles west of the airport, and the drive typically takes about 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes, depending on traffic.

Black Hawk is nestled adjacent to Central City in Clear Creek Canyon west of Denver. While Black Hawk occupies less than two square miles and has fewer than 100 residents, the former mining and mill town welcomes visitors who come to experience the area's history, scenery and entertainment.

Rental Cars

Renting a car is the easiest and most flexible way to reach Black Hawk. Denver International Airport offers a wide selection of rental car companies, all accessible via shuttle from the main terminal. Having a car will also make it easier to explore the surrounding mountain towns during your stay.

Rideshare & Private Transportation

Uber, Lyft, taxis, and private car services are also available from the airport. Please note that while rideshares are readily available from the airport, return availability from the mountains may be more limited, especially late at night.

Mountain Driving Tips

Our wedding will take place in June, when Colorado typically enjoys beautiful early summer weather. That said, mountain conditions can change quickly, especially in the evenings. We recommend checking the forecast before traveling and allowing a little extra time for the scenic mountain drive.

If you are arriving around the same time as other guests, coordinating a shared ride or shuttle from the airport can be a fun and convenient way to start the celebration together.
